Michigan Environmentally Friendly Products

As the idea of "going green" becomes more popular, many organizations are specifically interested in knowing more about how this is possible and how they can assist in keeping the environment clean. The businesses that are showing the most interest are those incorporated with the food industry.

As of now, most of the businesses, restaurants, etc. involved in the food industry use products that are made from petroleum. These products are very dangerous to the environment because they do not break down or biodegrade in our landfills; also, if they are burned they end up polluting our air. Thankfully with the use of new biodegradable and compostable products, we will be enhancing the environment instead of damaging it further. Instead of petroleum, the new supplies are being made from renewable resources such as corn, sugarcane, and potatoes. Also, paper products are being made from recycled paper which reduces the number of trees being cut down.

Now that people are being made aware that such "earth friendly" products exist, it's also important to note that these products are being distributed right here in Southeast Michigan. Michigan Green Safe Products is a new company located in Detroit. It provides a wide range of eco-friendly products to the food industry and other businesses. The company's goal is to provide an alternative product to help the United States stay clean and safe for the future. Michigan Green Safe Products offers tableware and food containers made from sugarcane, and cutlery made from potatoes. Also, the company distributes cups for hot and cold liquids, along with straws, clamshells and deli containers which are made from corn resin.
