Schupan Recycling is a processor and marketer of Used Beverage Containers (UBCs) including aluminum cans, plastic bottles (PET), and glass bottles.

We operate multiple processing facilities that recycle billions of cans and bottles for soft drink wholesalers and beer wholesalers throughout the state of Michigan.

Why Do The Right Thing?

Non Carbonated containers are the fastest growing segment of all beverage sales, approximately 27% in 2006.

Americans go through 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour.

Recycling one ton of plastic containers can save 1-2 thousands gallons of gas and 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space.

Goal?

Increase awareness and educate the public that these beverage containers are recyclable.

Collect as many containers as possible to help increase the recycling rate.

Special Event Recycling

What?

The "GO GREEN" campaign kicked off fall of 2007 partnering with Michigan State University to create awareness and collect beverage containers during all home football game tailgates. We have also participated in recycling at numerous other community events during 2007.
